Each family is unique, different, and beautiful. In every family session that I do, I try to capture the joy and beauty of your family in a way that brings meaning to you so that you can remember this stage for a lifetime.
Family sessions last anywhere from 45 min to 90 min depending upon the size of your family and the needs of the children. Each session is for a family up to 10 people. I charge $15 extra for each additional person. Many people like to bring their parents to be part of the experience.
I prefer to do my family sessions an hour after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset for the absolute best lighting, though I have accommodated early afternoon and mid-morning as needed.
Family sessions are taken on location. I have traveled to the coast, mountains, parks, streams, and even in people’s backyards. Up to 30 min. travel is included (currently from the Orem, UT area). Anything beyond that requires a travel fee depending upon the distance and location.
This next portrait was taken of a great-grandmother in the family’s backyard. We got last minute cloud cover just in time to provide a soft light box for her face. Little did they know that it would be her last portrait session. She passed away shortly thereafter. It is now a treasured possession.
Family sessions include, on average, 30-50+ digital images. I personally inspect each and every portrait to insure high quality.
You will receive a digital link to download your portraits. I also provide a print release form that allows you to print as many copies as you’d like. You will be able to use the images on-line, for personal use. All I ask is that you credit Vezzani Photography somewhere in your post. (For business use, like book covers, posters, etc. I charge an extra $50 fee per digital image on top of the session fee.)
Every session is unique and different depending upon location, weather conditions, time of year, and time of day. Part of the fun is playing with light, chasing shadows, and adjusting my settings to accommodate the changes. While I try to keep a consistency with my portraits, I have found that the magic and spirit of the portraits changes, just like the seasons. Each session is beautiful in its own way.
In addition to formal poses, my favorite part of doing portrait photography is trying to capture the spirit and essence of individuals, especially children. This can be a challenge as they are often on the move. Nothing makes me happier than when I capture that one moment in time.
There is a purity and innocence found in children. They grow so quickly. I have six children so I understand the joy and challenges that come from parenthood. As much as possible, after the main portraits are done, I like to let kids play for a little bit to get comfortable. That’s when the real personality and smiles usually manifest themselves.
Isn’t that fun? They are all so unique and different. In addition to individual shots, I like to leave time for couple portraits both young and old.
Many of my clients have used my services for their back to school portraits as well as Christmas family portraits making the value of the package extremely competitive and affordable. I usually take serious individual shots, then try to take a few silly ones.
I have recently moved to Utah County and currently offer my services here, though I sometimes fly to the East Coast and West Coast to do sessions. I will periodically announce on my Facebook Page when I am open for such sessions, so be sure to follow me HERE! After individual shots, we sometimes gather back together one last time for some fun shots. By then everyone is relaxed and most are ready to go home.
I look forward to working with you and your family and hope you enjoy the Vezzani Photography experience as much as I enjoy photographing your family. For more information or to book your session CLICK HERE. Thanks for stopping by!
